No Animal Foods
AHFI is a vegan establishment, for Health, Environmental, and Ethical reasons. This means all the foods brought for the potlucks MUST be vegan. Vegan means not derived from an animal. This includes all meat, all dairy (including goat cheeses, butters, milks and kefirs too), and eggs. If you should have ANY questions about whether your food item is vegan or not, please contacts us and we'll be happy to assist.

No Processed Foods or Chemicals
No artificial sweeteners, sugars, white flower, butters, or vegetable oils. Agave nectar and Stevia make great sweeteners and are available at most stores. Once again, call ahead and we will be happy to offer healthy alternatives to your regular ingredients. You will be surprised at how easy it is to give an old dish a new and healthy makeover.

Servings
Please bring a dish that will serve at least 4 people. If there are 2 or you attending, please bring enough to serve at least 8. Remember, though, that this only the minimum, and usually more than 4 or 8 attend.

No Inorganic or GMO Foods
We aspire to be as organic as we can, which would apply to the potluck dishes that guests bring. We also don't serve GMO (Genetically-modified) foods to our guests, so please try to avoid bringing any GMO or inorganic foods. If you have any questions or would like some simple, tasty and affordable suggestions, please do not hesitate to call. It's easier than you think!

Donations
We will be asking for a contribution of $5 for our potlucks. This will help cover the cost of electricity, flyers, guest speakers, and new films we would like to share.
